Pace Family Summer Fun

Playing in the mud, and most of it ended up on her head. I pulled up to Aunt Kami's to find this fun little surprise! I looked at Jaiden and said, "Really, Jaiden? Are you kidding me?" Then I asked Kami if she had lost her freakin' mind. She confirmed that she had not by letting me know she let her do it cuz she knew I would be back just in time to clean her up. Thanks Kam. Pay back's are a b*@#$!

These poles totally intrigued Jaiden.

Bithday dinner at my most fave place evAR - Benihana. Jaiden ended up loving it as much as I do!

Jaiden was rocking this Benihana Chef's Hat like it was nobody's business!

Yay! A ride on Dad's shoulders!



We went to the zoo. Most people go for the animals, but not Jaiden. Nope, her favorite part was the water ball and her very own slurpee!

This giraffe was being a freak. It kept licking the walls with its two-foot-long-tongue. Then it would wrap that tounge all the way around his its chin. Jaiden was less than impressed. She kept giving it a "WTH?!?" look.

We played in the fountains at Gateway. Jaiden wasn't so sure about it at first, but when she came to grips with water shooting out of the ground randomly, she was into it. Hard.

We did some swimming. Mother-of-the-year here, forgot little swimmers. So, we did what every other parent would do.... taught Jaiden the song"I like big butts, and I cannot lie!" Yes we do, especially on this little cutie patootie!

This summer has definitely been one of the best yet! Jaiden is at such a fun age, and is full of personality, and, well - sass! We just love her to death!

Tryin!!!!

The other day I was busying around the house and had asked Jaiden four times to stay out of the tool box in the laundry room. She wasn't minding me, so I told her it was time to go to the naughty corner. I picked her up to take her and she got a little mad/frustrated/pouting and said (with tears in her eyes) "Mom, tryin, tryin, tryin not freak out!"





I'm still not sure if she meant that she was trying to not freak out, or if she meant that she wanted me to try to not freak out! :) Hahaha

Kids really do say the darndest things! Man, she sure is fun!

Jaidenisms!

I decided I better get a few of the cute things Jaiden is saying right now written down before I forget them.... Here goes nothing, she's a little talker!

* Wanna Pobsible* - I want a Popsicle.

*Go-urt* - Yogurt

*Berry Speshow* - Very special. Our very special items are things Jaiden can't play with. So it's usually "Momma Berry Speshow, or Daddy Berry Speshow."

*Capin* - Camping. She LOVES camping! :)

*Oh Shit* - Not so proud of this one, but she says it - more than she should, and in the right situations, too. Where do you think she picked that up?!? Weird!! ;)

*Iman Dole* - Ivan Doyle, her cabbage patch baby. (Handed down to her straight from her Dad!) Sorry, Babe.... had to throw that one in there!)

*Sick, Iman sinks, chay bum* - Sick, Ivan stinks, change bum.

*Top It!* - Stop it.

*E me yown* - Leave me alone.

*Shit* - Chet, her puppy

*Tate* - Her other puppy. She always asks if Tate and Shit are with Daddy at work, or she'll point to any little scratch on her body and say "Tate did it." or "Shit did it."

*Shup, Shit* or *Shup, Tate* -She's learned to yell shut up to the dogs when they bark. She says it in this little mean, gruff voice too!

*Jainen Pace* - Her name!

*Jame Pace* - Her Dad

*Trrrina Pace* - Her Mom.... she really rolls and drags her r's out.

*Teeday Tah* - Teasdale, Utah. (When asked where she lives)

*rrrrong* - What's wrong? Again, rolling and dragging those r's?!?

*Beshew* - Bless, you. She says that after anyone sneezes or coughs.

*Tangooood* - Tangled, her fave movie.

*Answey* - Ansley, one of her fave play mate's.

When you ask who's girl she is she'll reply with "Unc Heaf" for Uncle Heath.

Most of you know we have one HECK of a time getting Jaiden to eat. One day I was trying to get her to eat chicken nuggets. She wasn't having it, so I took a bite and said, "Mmmmm.... it's chicken, try it!" She got this really confused/concerned look on her face and said, "Chick??..... bock, bock??" Crap. Did I just push her into a vegetarian lifestyle??!

One night James came up to me and gave me a big hug, and kissed me. We stood there and hugged for a minute and Jaiden was staring at us in disgust, and said "Ki me now, Momma? Top it." (Kidding me right now, Momma, stop it!) Little sass-a-frass!

I don't know what I did for entertainment before Jaiden came along. She cracks me up - hard! We sure do love her!

{Jaiden = Three Months!}

Jaiden is already three months old, and we love her more and more every day!






She is the light of our lives!


Here are some fun facts about our little lady.....


*She's weighing in at 10 lbs 3 oz. Big gulp, huh?


*She is so darn happy! She wakes up smiling, and goes to bed smiling.


*Speaking of smiles... her smile is flippin' adorable! She grins so hard that her eyes practically disappear! Too cute!






*She is a champion sleeper! We get somewhere between 7 - 9 hours at night. It's amazing what a good night's sleep can do for you, as every Mom knows!


*She likes the really expensive formula... Nutramigen baby!


*She LOVES to be read to. Her favorite books are "Love you Forever", "Amelia Bedilia", "Oliver", and "Mother Goose Favorite Nursery Rhymes". (Okay, so these might be her Mom's favorite books, but who's counting?)





*She also LOVES to be sung to... She gets soooo excited when we sing "In the Leafy Treetops" in the mornings.


*She likes to talk and coo, but you have to listen really close because her voice is as little as she is! :)


*Her favorite toys are her Baby Einsten light/music box, her flower rattle, and her Pooh Bear.




*We brush her tooth every night. She's gotten so used to it that she pretty much opens her mouth, and lets me scrub it for a good one or two minutes - no tears or funny faces anymore!?!


*She's just barely starting to fit into some of her shoe collection.... it's been killing her Mom to have them sit there on her shelf, unwearable!



*She's our little love-a-dove.... Love her, love her, love her!

Just in case you're wondering, and can't tell from these pictures... we DID pick the rockiest little knoll in Teasdale we could find! After all, the wise man (and woman) built their house upon a rock. Sorry for all the trouble with the huge boulders, Dad - you're the best!

We're so excited to finally have a hole in the ground. Thanks again, Dad for all the time and work you put into making it perfect... you rock! (No pun intended!) :)

The timing of the project is impeccable, wouldn't you say? I mean a brand new baby, and the beginnings of a new house?? Yikes.... the next nine months are going to be interesting. *Sigh*

Before & After: {the nursery}

Pipsqueak's nursery has been a lot of fun to put together.... a lot of work, but fun!

Before.......

This room in our house used to be the Libraray, and that explains the bookshelves all along one wall. Not only a library, but a music room too - Grandma Tanner used to have a piano along the back wall - quaint, huh? I can just picture it - a reading / music room! After James and I first moved in the library became my office and I had the genius idea of painting the bookshelves red. It was cute while it lasted, but Pipsqueak couldn't have red bookshelves in a pink and black nursery.

After ......

With a little tender loving care, we were able to turn that libraray with bold red shelves into a soft, loveable pink and black nursery. I love it! It turned out just the way I had been visualizing it in my head for the past six months.... Here are a few more pictures to enjoy!

Now, I really need to give credit where credit is due - I will admit that I had all these great ideas, but I didn't do hardly any of the work!

Thank you thank you JAMES for basically doing all the painting, hanging, floor finishing, and moving.... The nursery wouldn't have turned out so well if it hadn't have been for you. I am so lucky to have such a patient and willing husband! :)

A big thanks to Grandma Becky and Grandma Jessie for all their help in preparing the nursery too! Baby Pipsqueak is one lucky little girl to have such amazing Grandmas!

Must Love SHOES!

One requirement of Baby Pipsqueak - she should plan on loving shoes just as much as her Mom and Grandma Becky because . . . .

She already has 15 pair and she hasn't even been born yet!?! James said she already has his shoe count topped by 10... the sad thing is - he's exactly right!

Every little girl needs a pair of patent leather shoes - especially if they have great big black velvet bows on top!

And seriously?? How cute are these? Way too cute to resist!

OK - One word... TOOTY! These are my absolute faves of the bunch. Grandma Jessie saved this awesome pair of little shoes from when James was a baby. I just can't get over them - they are so cute and funny in their own little way. Luckily little Pipsqueak has several outfits that are going to go perfectly with this great pair of shoes!

And on another fashionista note - I'm in high hopes that our little Pipsqueak also loves bows, hats, and all the other fun girly-girl accessories because heaven knows she has plenty of that kind of stuff already too....

**We're getting so, so excited to meet our precious little girl. The date is set - October 19th is when she'll be making her grand entrance to this crazy world, and joining our family! Twelve days and counting!**
